A short note from a friend

A person who wrote me a letter said this to me and the person said it very beautifully. I really couldn't have said it better myself

"I thought about this a few days ago and I probably wont say it right as it was in my head but here it goes. There are 4 loves or 4 things to love when it comes to people: the mind, the heart, the soul, and the body. Friendship shares 2 of these loves in my opinion they are the mind and heart. And I love your mind and your heart. You are very smart even though you probably don't think so yourself. And your heart is very pure and kind. You probably see the good in almost everyone. The soul love comes through dating or courting. And Body love can only occur in marriage"

*la sigh* This person is so sweet! Yes, I'm vague for a reason ...... or am ?I?!? *is happy*

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble but, no, this is not my boyfriend. I don't have one. Will this be the one? I don't know but, I do know that I'm waiting on God! :D

Remembering Sept. 11, 2001 ~ A short post

Where was I on that date?

I was ..... homeschooling at hits point

My brother was on his way home from UPS (He was working the pre-load shift then) and he was listening to music and the news broke that something had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York. He called Mom and Mom came and got me (I had just gotten outta bed) and told me to come watch the TV in the kitchen. (I was still in my jammies! How cool is that??) . I had a history lesson that day. It was a history lesson that I will never forget. I was in the ... *thinks* ... 8th grade. News of the attacks broke in at every school. I was fixated to the tv. I was watching LIVE action/reaction. Not replays but, LIVE. It was horrible! I remember thinking to myself ..... how could anyone do this to AMERICA?? The greatest NATION and COUNTRY on earth?? I was so angry. I just remember sitting there in awe of the audacity (I guess that is the right word) of these people who would do this to (the) US. I can remember President Bush standing on the pile of rubble and him saying (paraphrasing): "I can hear you! Can you hear me??" Everyon was was cheering and he went on to say "Soon the whole world will be hearing you!!" Chanting started and everyone was chanting "USA!! USA!! USA!!" I stood in awe of AMERICA and what she stood for!! I have ALWAYS (unlike our current First Lady) been PROUD of my AMERICA!! I think we went to war soon after but, I'm not sure!!

Anyway, just watned to write down my memories of this day

MAY GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!! MAY GOD BLESS OUR FAMILIES AND MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

This reminds me of a song .....

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

She Let Herself Go

This is how I feel! Well, minus the ranch part ...... and all the other stuff :) But, the "letting herself go part" that is all me!!

He wondered how she'd take it when he said goodbye.
Thought she might do some cryin'... lose some sleep at night.
But he had no idea, when he hit the road,
That without him in her life, she'd let herself go.

Let herself go on a singles cruise,
To Vegas once, then to Honolulu.
Let herself go to New York City...
A week at the Spa; came back knocked-out pretty.
When he said he didn't love her no more,
She let herself go.

She poured her heart an' soul into their three-bedroom ranch.
Spent her days raisin' babies, ironin' his pants.
Came home one day from the grocery store and found his note,
And without him there to stop her, she let herself go.

Let herself go on her first blind-date...
Had the time of her life with some friends at the lake.
Let herself go, buy a brand new car,
Drove down to the beach he always said was too far.
Sand sure felt good between her toes...

She let herself go on a singles cruise,
To Vegas once, then to Honolulu.
Let herself go to New York City...
A week at the Spa; came back knocked-out pretty.
When he said he didn't love her no more,
She let herself go.

To Vegas once... Honolulu, New York City.
Came back knocked-out pretty.
